Considered care.
Personal to you.
Dual Yellow is a copper-bromide laser platform from Norseld that produces 578 nm yellow and 511 nm green light. These wavelengths interact differently with haemoglobin and melanin. A doctor must identify the type of redness or pigmentation before deciding whether this laser, another treatment or skincare is appropriate.

Your skin’s responseMICHIKO · YOUR QUESTIONS, EXPLAINED
The manufacturer describes 578 nm yellow light for vascular lesions and 511 nm green light for selected pigmented lesions. Combined modes are also available. This helps explain why one laser platform can be considered for different concerns, but it does not mean that every patch, vessel or skin tone should receive the same settings. At consultation, describe the colour, how long it has been present and whether heat, sunlight or skincare changes it.
Norseld includes melasma among the platform’s treatment applications. Melasma is nevertheless a recurring pigmentation condition, and laser treatment is not a guaranteed cure. Irritation and excess heat can worsen some pigmentation problems. The doctor may first prioritise sun protection and medical skincare, consider a cautious laser plan or recommend another approach. Brown patches that are new or changing should be assessed before cosmetic laser treatment.
Assessment comes first, including recent sun exposure, medicines, pregnancy, skin infections and previous reactions. If treatment is suitable, the team explains eye protection, the area to be treated, expected sensations and aftercare. A test area may be considered when appropriate. The sensation can include warmth or a brief sting; do not assume that “non-invasive” means that it cannot feel uncomfortable.
Redness, swelling, temporary darkening or crusting can occur depending on the lesion and settings. Burns, pigment changes and scarring are possible risks of laser treatment. Follow the clinic’s cleansing, moisturising and sun-protection advice; avoid picking any crusts. A review determines whether more sessions are useful. The number of visits and cost depend on the area and diagnosis, so ask for an individual written plan.
WHY MICHIKO
At MICHIKO, the conversation begins with the cause of the colour change. Dr. Gift and our medical team consider your skin tone, sun exposure and previous responses, explain the chosen approach and plan follow-up before repeating treatment.
Describe what has changed and what you hope to improve. The assessment comes before a programme recommendation.
LISTEN
Compare the approaches that fit your assessment. Understand what each can improve, where its limits lie and whether a simpler first step would suit you.
ASSESS
Discuss the exact method or product, expected benefit, limits, risks and total cost. There is time to decide and room to choose a simpler plan.
PLAN
Know your aftercare, review timing and how to contact the team. Your response helps shape the next step.
CARE
MICHIKO · A CLOSER LOOK
Bring details of previous procedures, current medicines and supplements, allergies and any recent skin reaction. Tell the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Mention work, travel and event dates so the plan can account for recovery and follow-up. Do not stop prescribed medicines without advice.
Use gentle cleansing, the recommended moisturiser and consistent sun protection. Do not pick darkened areas or crusts. Ask when to resume active skincare and exercise. Unexpected blistering, worsening pain or signs of infection need clinical advice.
Agree on a review point and the change you are hoping to see. Your response, side effects and priorities should guide the next step. Ask for a clear quote covering the proposed product or method, quantity where relevant, and follow-up.
BEFORE YOU VISIT
No. Dual Yellow produces specific laser wavelengths; IPL uses a broader band of filtered light. Suitability depends on the concern, device and settings, not the name alone.
There is no universal course. The diagnosis, size of the area and response to the first treatment guide the review schedule.
Some people can, but visible redness or lesion darkening may occur. Discuss your work and social plans rather than assuming there is no downtime.
Message MICHIKO on LINE and mention the service. Choose EmSphere or Phahonyothin 21, and confirm the relevant clinician and appointment before travelling.
