THE MICHIKO APPROACHConsidered care.
Personal to you.
The clear answer

What does this
treatment do?

Thread lifting places medical threads under the skin to address selected contour and tissue-position concerns. Thread type, placement and suitability differ by area. It is a procedure with risks and recovery considerations, not a guaranteed substitute for surgery.

Thread Lifting

ILLUSTRATIVE AREAS · PERSONAL ASSESSMENT COMES FIRST

01 / MOUTH CORNER & CHINSCROLL TO EXPLORE
01

Are all thread programmes intended to do the same thing?

No. MICHIKO offers distinct programme discussions for facial support, skin firmness, nose contour and brow or outer-eye positioning. They should be assessed separately; an image from one area does not establish results in another.

THE CONCERN
02

What determines the lifting direction and thread plan?

Your doctor considers tissue weight, skin quality, facial support, previous procedures and the proposed change. Ask for the exact thread material and design, placement rationale and realistic limits rather than comparing the number of threads alone.

THE CONNECTION
03

What risks and recovery should I discuss?

Swelling, bruising, discomfort, dimpling, asymmetry, infection or visible or palpable threads can occur. Discuss personal aftercare, review timing and when to seek help. Avoid assuming a thread procedure has no downtime or risk.

Thread Lifting

Understand the treatment

The concern. The cause. The possibilities.

Thread Lifting · the area in context

Four programme names, different goals

MICHIKO’s programme names distinguish Mishiko for facial support, Minako for a skin-firmness focus, Hiko for nose contour and Hanako/Foxy Eye for the brow or outer-eye area. These goals involve different anatomy and should not be treated as interchangeable packages.

Ask about the exact thread material and design, the current programme and its suitability for you. Historic claims about coatings, fixed thread counts or zero downtime should not replace a product-specific explanation. Nose-thread photographs must remain identified as nose treatment.

Mechanical support and the tissue response

Selected threads provide mechanical support while the tissue responds around them. The scale and duration of visible change depend on the material, design, placement, tissue weight and healing. Absorbable does not mean instantly reversible, and a thread procedure does not remove excess skin in the way surgery can.

A suitable consultation includes recovery, bruising, dimpling, asymmetry, infection, visible or palpable threads and what correction may involve. Do not pull or massage an uncomfortable thread yourself; contact the treating clinic.

Who may benefit, and when should treatment wait?

Assessment considers skin laxity, tissue volume, previous procedures and medical history. Tell the doctor about implants, active skin problems and medicines. Non-surgical options may be insufficient for substantial excess skin; another approach or no procedure may be appropriate.

Assessment and treatment choices
Assessment and treatment choices

From assessment to recovery.

The consultation considers tissue weight, laxity, previous procedures and the direction of support. The doctor explains the proposed thread type, entry areas, anaesthesia, limits and review plan before treatment. Thread placement is a medical procedure and requires an appropriate clinical setting.

Swelling, bruising, tenderness, asymmetry or dimpling may occur. Follow individual advice on pressure, facial movement and exercise while healing. Persistent pain, increasing redness, discharge, visible or protruding thread, or worsening asymmetry should be assessed. The effect is not permanent and depends on tissue, thread type and ageing; more threads do not automatically mean a better lift.

What happens during the appointment?

Begin with your concerns and treatment history. Your doctor assesses the relevant area, explains suitable options and agrees the plan, price and follow-up with you. Ask which product or device will be used, why it was selected and what the plan includes before giving consent.

What should I know about recovery and risks?

Bruising, swelling, tenderness, dimpling, asymmetry, infection or visible or palpable threads can occur. Recovery and activity restrictions depend on the procedure. Agree how to contact the treating doctor if symptoms worsen or the result concerns you.

When should the result be reviewed?

Change and recovery occur on different timelines. Agree when to review the outcome, how photographs will be compared and what would justify another session. The device or product, baseline tissue and individual response influence the result; a fixed duration cannot be guaranteed.

A useful quotation should name the device or method, treatment areas and plan, the total cost and what follow-up is included. Ask MICHIKO for an individual assessment and current quotation; this preview does not publish an unverified price.

Tell the team your travel dates, preferred language and how long you will remain in Bangkok. Ask about assessment, recovery, follow-up and contact after you leave. Confirm language support and whether your schedule allows appropriate aftercare before arranging treatment.
