THE CONCERNLips Filler · BANGKOK
Explore lip filler at MICHIKO in Bangkok. Shape, definition and volume are considered together, with room to explain how subtle or noticeable you want the change to be.

This is a reference image used to discuss lip shape and definition. It is not a documented before-and-after case. Your tissue, proportions and previous procedures determine which changes are appropriate.

YOUR PERSONAL PLANA CLIENT’S TREATMENT JOURNEY
For this client, MICHIKO built on her existing lip shape with a small-volume filler plan. The result pictured gives the lip border and fullness more definition while keeping the shape recognisable. The clinic records Restylane Defyne 0.7 cc for this case: a reminder that a lip plan starts with the person, rather than a standard amount.

Reference images can help you explain your taste. They are a starting point for a conversation, not a template to copy. Your doctor considers your own lip shape, movement, previous filler and any lip surgery before discussing a plan.
UNDERSTAND YOUR OPTIONS
Lip filler uses hyaluronic acid gel to adjust lip volume, shape and definition.
A consultation may address naturally thin lips, age-related volume loss or the balance between upper and lower lips.
At MICHIKO in Bangkok, your starting shape, smile, profile and preferences guide the plan.
The illustration places the lip outline within the nose, chin and overall side profile. Projection and proportion matter alongside the border and volume seen from the front; a reference drawing is not a target that every face should reproduce.
View original graphic at full sizeThe relationship between the lips, nose and chin matters as much as volume.
A side-profile reference such as the E-line can support the discussion, but it is not a universal beauty target.
Your teeth, bite, existing lip tissue and natural movement affect what can be achieved.
Lip surgery comparison. This photograph shows surgery, not a filler injection.
Previous lip surgery can change tissue, scarring and blood-vessel anatomy.
Tell the doctor about all previous filler, surgery, reactions and cold sores.
A lump should be assessed before adding more product.
If filler correction is needed, its timing and method depend on the material and the clinical findings.
Restylane and Belotero options differ by product model.
The doctor should explain the specific product, its suitability for lip treatment, the amount and the full cost.
Numbing can help with discomfort, but tenderness and swelling are possible.
Let swelling settle before judging the final shape.

Choose the concern closest to yours. These are starting points for a consultation, not a diagnosis.
Discuss the lip border, central curve and the features you want to keep. This MICHIKO reference image helps start the conversation about shape.
Understand your optionsTell us whether you prefer a subtle change or more visible fullness. Your own anatomy guides what is achievable, rather than a fixed upper-to-lower lip ratio.
Understand your options
Previous filler, lip surgery, lumps and cold sores are relevant to the consultation. Share these before discussing another appointment.

Watch the clinic’s video, then bring your questions to the medical team. Individual experiences do not predict your own result.
YOUR CARE, AT A GLANCE
The clinic’s preparation and aftercare guidance, made easier to follow. Your treating doctor may adapt these instructions for you.
Tell the doctor about aspirin, anti-inflammatory medicines, blood thinners, fish oil, vitamin E and herbal supplements. The clinic’s guide asks patients to review these ahead of treatment. Do not stop prescribed medicine without your prescriber’s advice.
Bring details of regular medicines, allergies, illness, previous injections and implants. Tell the team if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active infection or a history of cold sores.
The lip guide advises avoiding alcohol for two days before treatment. Arrive with clean skin and discuss cold sores, prior lip surgery and your preferred shape.
Swelling and bruising can occur. Use a gently applied, cloth-wrapped cool compress as advised by your clinician. Do not apply ice directly or press hard. Contact the clinic if swelling, redness or pain is increasing.
Avoid strenuous exercise, very hot or spicy food, and high heat for the period your clinician recommends. Do not massage or press the lips.
Avoiding makeup directly on the lips for the first 24 hours is commonly advised. Follow the treating doctor’s instructions.
Early swelling can change the apparent size and symmetry. Give the lips time to settle and attend the planned review before deciding on any further filler.
The clinic’s guide advises avoiding alcohol for two weeks, or at least 48 hours. It also lists raw and fermented foods as clinic-specific restrictions. Follow your personalised instructions. Severe unusual pain, vision changes or pale/dusky skin require immediate medical attention.

The concern. The cause. The possibilities.
A defined Cupid’s bow, a softer border or a fuller lip body are different goals. A reference photograph can explain a preference, but existing shape, teeth, smile and tissue limit how closely another person’s lips can be reproduced. The discussion should cover shape at rest and in motion.
Restylane and Belotero include different product models; the brand name alone does not determine which is appropriate. Ask about the actual model, flexibility, expected swelling and follow-up. New lumps or a previous unknown filler require assessment before additional volume.
The right role for each approach.

The illustration places the lip outline within the nose, chin and overall side profile. Projection and proportion matter alongside the border and volume seen from the front; a reference drawing is not a target that every face should reproduce.
View original graphic at full sizeA lip consultation looks at proportion, border definition, hydration-related appearance and movement. A reference photo can explain your preference, but your tissue and facial balance determine the realistic options. Previous lip surgery or scarring can change the assessment.
Restylane and Belotero each offer different product models. Ask about the exact model and its role; brand names alone do not establish suitability. Filler and lip surgery change anatomy in different ways and should be compared with their own risks and limits.
Know what comes before and after.

Early swelling can make lips feel uneven, but persistent lumps, worsening pain, colour change or inflammation need clinical assessment. Do not try to correct the shape by forceful massage or another injection elsewhere before the cause is understood. Bring product records, and tell the doctor if the material is unknown.
Bring previous treatment dates, products and photographs if available. Tell the doctor about medicines, supplements, allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any infection or irritation near the area. Ask about the intended product, alternatives, cost and follow-up before consenting.
Some medicines and supplements can affect bruising or bleeding. Do not stop prescribed medicines yourself; any change should be agreed with the prescribing clinician. Ask the clinic about alcohol, exercise and other preparations relevant to your appointment.
Follow your treating doctor’s instructions for skin care, activity, pressure on the area and the timing of other procedures. Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising can happen. Avoid firm massage unless the clinician specifically advises it, and ask how and when to use a cool compress.
Contact the clinic for increasing swelling, persistent pain, redness, warmth or a new lump. Severe unusual pain, pale or dusky skin, or vision changes need immediate medical attention. Keep the urgent contact details and attend the agreed follow-up; an early swollen photograph is not the final result.

WHY MICHIKO
Your lip shape is planned around your existing tissue, smile and profile. Dr. Gift and the MICHIKO team discuss your references, previous procedures and the level of definition you feel comfortable with.
Bring your story. Ask how the proposed plan relates to your own starting point.
Discuss alternatives, limits and follow-up with the medical team.
BEFORE YOU VISIT
Use photographs to explain your preferences. Your own anatomy and treatment history determine what may be possible; an identical result cannot be promised.
Yes. Tell the doctor about both, including recent symptoms and medicines. The doctor will advise whether to proceed and what preparation is needed.
Lip filler is temporary. The duration depends on the exact product, amount, your tissue and individual response. Results may last around a year for some products; ask for a product-specific expectation and review plan.
The right amount follows the starting shape, available tissue and desired change. A reference photograph or syringe size should not decide the plan. A staged approach may be more suitable, particularly with previous filler or a small amount of natural lip tissue.
The plan follows your assessment. Ask for the product, proposed amount, total cost and any follow-up charges before agreeing to treatment.
Bruising, swelling and tenderness can occur. Ask your doctor about recovery for your particular plan and leave flexibility around important events.
Bring your questions, medical and allergy history, medicines and supplements, and details of previous procedures. Do not change prescribed medicines without advice from your prescribing clinician.
Ask for an itemised MICHIKO quotation covering the product and model, proposed volume, doctor’s fee, review and any correction charges. A low per-ml price alone does not explain the treatment plan. The team can confirm the current price after assessment.
No. They show individual experiences. Starting anatomy, treatment history and the agreed plan differ from person to person.
