THE CONCERNFace-Lock Filler Technique · BANGKOK
Discover MICHIKO’s Face-Lock Filler Technique: a conversation about facial support, proportions and carefully considered HA filler, led by an individual assessment.
THE MICHIKO APPROACH
Face-Lock is MICHIKO’s name for its Oriental Filler Lifting approach, associated with Dr. Gift. It is a way of planning filler treatment, not a separate filler material. This page explains the thinking behind the technique.
Explore whole-face planningBEFORE YOU DECIDE
Ask about the product, expected benefit, alternatives and follow-up. Filler carries risks, including rare but serious blood-vessel complications. A qualified clinician should explain these before treatment.
After injection, vision changes, unusual severe pain or pale or dusky skin require urgent medical care.
Follow the connections.

ILLUSTRATIVE AREAS · PERSONAL ASSESSMENT COMES FIRST
The concern may involve volume, support, skin or previous treatment. Looking at the whole face helps explain which area needs attention.
THE CONCERNTell Dr. Gift and our medical team what has changed and what you want to retain. Examination considers tissue, movement and treatment history.
THE CONNECTIONAsk what the proposed treatment can change, what it cannot and how the result will be reviewed. Choosing to wait is also an option.
YOUR PERSONAL PLANA CLIENT’S TREATMENT JOURNEY
The change is in how the cheeks and folds work together. MICHIKO’s 5 cc plan combined midface support, nasolabial-fold treatment and the Face-Lock approach, creating a smoother transition through the centre of the face.

Changes in skin, soft tissue and underlying structure can influence facial shape. Face-Lock planning begins with a medical assessment of your own starting point.

The discussion connects individual areas with your overall proportions. The aim and amount are agreed after assessment, rather than chosen from a fixed number of syringes.

Filler is not a surgical facelift and does not suit every concern. Ask about alternatives, treatment limits and what a realistic outcome means for you.
Explore this careUltrasound and threads have different roles from filler. These separate treatment examples help explain why the method starts with the concern.
MICHIKO · UNDERSTANDING THE LAYERS
The diagram is a simplified view of facial tissues. Understanding these layers helps explain why a medical assessment comes before a filler plan.
The cross-section labels the epidermis, dermis, underlying fat, SMAS and muscle. It is an educational overview of different tissue layers. It does not specify a safe injection plane or imply that every layer should receive filler.
View original graphic at full sizeThe epidermis and dermis form the skin. Surface texture and deeper contour are different concerns, so a filler discussion should also consider skin quality.
Facial fat is arranged in compartments. The SMAS is a fibrous and muscular tissue network with anatomy that varies across the face. These structures help explain why one plan does not fit every area.
Expression adds another dimension to the assessment. Your doctor considers movement alongside contour and previous treatment. The diagram is educational, not a map of injection sites or depths.
THE VISUAL GUIDE
The original campaign artwork introduces Face-Lock Filler. The treatment explanation considers support across connected facial areas; the artwork is not proof that filler can reproduce a surgical lift or guarantee a particular degree of tightening.
View original graphic at full sizeThis is a reference image used to discuss lip shape and definition. It is not a documented before-and-after case. Your tissue, proportions and previous procedures determine which changes are appropriate.

Structural support and the relationship between facial areas.

The right role for each approach.
Structural filler, ultrasound, radiofrequency, selected toxin treatment and threads address different aspects of the face. Each has a different role. A filler-led approach considers support and proportion; a skin-tightening device addresses a different tissue concern.
Ask which component is recommended for you, why it is needed and whether treating one concern first would make the next decision clearer. The name of a technique does not guarantee a fixed amount of lift or replace discussion of risks.

View original graphic at full sizeBring previous treatment dates, products and photographs if available. Tell the doctor about medicines, supplements, allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any infection or irritation near the area. Ask about the intended product, alternatives, cost and follow-up before consenting.
Some medicines and supplements can affect bruising or bleeding. Do not stop prescribed medicines yourself; any change should be agreed with the prescribing clinician. Ask the clinic about alcohol, exercise and other preparations relevant to your appointment.
Follow your treating doctor’s instructions for skin care, activity, pressure on the area and the timing of other procedures. Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising can happen. Avoid firm massage unless the clinician specifically advises it, and ask how and when to use a cool compress.
Contact the clinic for increasing swelling, persistent pain, redness, warmth or a new lump. Severe unusual pain, pale or dusky skin, or vision changes need immediate medical attention. Keep the urgent contact details and attend the agreed follow-up; an early swollen photograph is not the final result.
