Texture and fine lines
Superficial skin-quality concerns differ from deep facial hollowing.
Texture and fine linesA closer look at recombinant collagen, hydration and a formulation designed for gradual skin-quality improvement.

Considered care.
Personal to you.
Karisma FACE Rh Collagen is described by its manufacturer as an injectable formulation combining a recombinant type I collagen α1 polypeptide chain, high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and carboxymethyl cellulose. It is intended for skin-quality and firmness concerns. The formula, clinical evidence and suitability should be discussed separately from Sculptra or conventional HA filler.

Elasticity and expectationsMICHIKO · YOUR QUESTIONS, EXPLAINED
The official Karisma site describes a recombinant type I collagen α1 chain produced using transgenic silkworm technology. “Recombinant” describes how the protein component is produced; it does not mean stem cells, exosomes or a permanent implant. The manufacturer presents this component as supporting collagen-related activity. That mechanism should not be treated as proof of a particular visible result for every patient.
Recombinant collagen is combined with high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and carboxymethyl cellulose, or CMC. The manufacturer describes a coordinated role in hydration and tissue support. For a patient, the useful question is what the complete formulation has been studied for, what change is realistic and how it compares with alternatives for the same concern.
Karisma’s formulation differs from Sculptra’s PLLA and from cross-linked HA fillers used for selected volume and contour concerns. Product categories can overlap in marketing language, but their ingredients, time course, evidence and reversal options are not interchangeable. If your main concern is a deep hollow, a strong fold or substantial excess skin, a skin-quality injectable may not address it sufficiently.
Ask for the exact product, local registration, batch details, recommended use and a written quote. Tell the doctor about previous procedures, allergies, medicines, active skin disease and pregnancy or breastfeeding. There is no reason to choose a new product simply because it is new. The value lies in whether the proposed benefit fits your concern and whether the evidence supports that choice.
The treating clinician should specify the area, amount, interval and aftercare using the applicable product information. Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness or bumps can follow an injection. Allergy, infection, persistent nodules and rare serious vascular complications are also part of the consent discussion. Do not assume that the whole formulation can be dissolved simply because it contains HA.
WHY MICHIKO
At MICHIKO, a new treatment begins with the same questions as an established one: what is your concern, what evidence supports this option and what should progress look like? Dr. Gift and our medical team will compare the formulation with alternatives and explain the planned review.
Describe what has changed and what you hope to improve. The assessment comes before a programme recommendation.
LISTEN
Compare the approaches that fit your assessment. Understand what each can improve, where its limits lie and whether a simpler first step would suit you.
ASSESS
Discuss the exact method or product, expected benefit, limits, risks and total cost. There is time to decide and room to choose a simpler plan.
PLAN
Know your aftercare, review timing and how to contact the team. Your response helps shape the next step.
CARE
MICHIKO · A CLOSER LOOK
Bring details of previous procedures, current medicines and supplements, allergies and any recent skin reaction. Tell the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Mention work, travel and event dates so the plan can account for recovery and follow-up. Do not stop prescribed medicines without advice.
Follow the instructions for the exact product used. Temporary redness, swelling, bumps or bruising may occur. Avoid rubbing or massaging unless specifically advised. Contact the clinic for worsening pain, spreading redness, fever or persistent lumps; sudden vision symptoms or severe pain require urgent medical care.
Agree on a review point and the change you are hoping to see. Your response, side effects and priorities should guide the next step. Ask for a clear quote covering the proposed product or method, quantity where relevant, and follow-up.
BEFORE YOU VISIT
No. The manufacturer describes a recombinant collagen-containing injectable formulation, not a stem-cell treatment.
There is no basis here for a universal superiority claim. The formulations and evidence differ; suitability depends on the concern and assessment.
Your consultation should confirm the exact product, a plan suited to your skin and a complete quote before you decide.
