Karisma Rh Collagen in Bangkok: Ingredients, Benefits and Questions to Ask

A clearer guide to Karisma at MICHIKO: what the ingredients mean, what early research can tell us and the questions worth asking before treatment in Bangkok.

Karisma at MICHIKO: a conversation about skin quality, beginning with an individual assessment.

AT A GLANCE

  • Start with the skin concern, then compare the options.
  • Ingredient mechanisms and early study findings do not guarantee individual results.
  • Confirm the exact product, risks, full cost and follow-up before deciding.

Karisma FACE Rh Collagen combines a recombinant collagen component, hyaluronic acid (HA) and carboxymethylcellulose (CMC). It is discussed as a skin-quality treatment, with a different formulation from Sculptra or conventional contouring filler. Whether it belongs in your care starts with a medical assessment.

You might first notice the change in a small way: makeup settling into fine lines, skin feeling less supple, or a texture that no longer feels as smooth. Those concerns deserve a clearer conversation than a treatment name alone. At MICHIKO in Bangkok, the starting point is what you notice and what you would like to understand.

A new conversation about skin quality at MICHIKO

Our Karisma campaign brings a simple idea into focus: your skin, our expertise. The product photograph introduces the formulation; the consultation photograph shows the part that matters just as much — time with the medical team to ask questions and consider your options.

Newness is an introduction, not a reason to proceed. A useful consultation connects a proposed treatment to a particular concern. Are you hoping for a smoother-looking surface, more hydration or a change in early firmness? Are you actually describing deeper folds, facial hollowing or a scar? Those are different conversations.

What are the three ingredients in Karisma?

The manufacturer describes three components: a recombinant type I collagen α1 polypeptide, non-crosslinked high molecular weight HA and CMC. The collagen component is produced through biotechnology. HA binds water; CMC is described as helping slow HA breakdown. These ingredient roles explain the product concept; they do not predict your individual result. Read the manufacturer’s formulation information.

What changes are worth discussing?

Use your own observations to guide the appointment. “My skin feels rougher” is more useful than asking for a fashionable ingredient. “I want it to feel less dry without changing my features” gives the doctor a clearer goal. Your assessment can separate texture, fine lines, hydration and firmness from concerns that require a different approach.

Talk about the size of the change that would feel worthwhile to you. Keep expectations proportionate, including the possibility that another treatment, skin care or no procedure may be a better next step. Your plan should fit your skin and preferences rather than a package chosen in advance.

What does the research tell us — and what remains uncertain?

A 2024 clinical study analysed 100 participants after two treatments one month apart, with assessments through day 60. The authors reported improvements in measured skin roughness and patient-reported outcomes. Follow-up was short, and this was not a head-to-head comparison establishing superiority over another product. Read the clinical study and its limitations.

A separate laboratory study examined effects on human dermal fibroblasts. Cell findings help explore possible mechanisms; they cannot establish what a person will see in the mirror or how long an effect will last. Read the laboratory study.

Karisma, Sculptra and HA filler: start with the goal

A shared mention of collagen or hydration does not make treatments interchangeable. Ask the doctor to explain the exact formulation, what it is intended to address and why it is being proposed for you. Read MICHIKO’s Karisma treatment guide and Sculptra guide as preparation for that discussion.

If your priority is a deep hollow, facial contour or a particular acne scar, say so early. A skin-quality approach may not be sufficient. Ask about alternatives, likely limits and reversal considerations; the presence of HA does not establish that the complete Karisma formulation can be fully dissolved.

What should you ask before a Karisma appointment?

  • Which concern are we treating, and how will we assess progress?
  • What is the exact product, its applicable local registration and intended use?
  • What amount, interval and review schedule are proposed?
  • What risks, recovery and alternatives should I understand?
  • What is the complete written cost, including any follow-up?

Bring your treatment history and a list of medicines, supplements and allergies. Tell the clinician about active skin problems and pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not stop prescribed medication without advice.

Risks and aftercare belong in the same conversation

Injections can cause swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness or bumps. Infection, allergy and persistent nodules are possible. Rare injection into a blood vessel can cause serious tissue injury or vision loss. Severe or unusual pain, skin blanching or vision changes require urgent medical attention. Follow the instructions for the exact product and ask how to contact the clinic. General filler safety information.

Your Karisma questions, answered

What is Karisma Rh Collagen?

Karisma FACE Rh Collagen is an injectable formulation combining a recombinant collagen component, non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid and carboxymethylcellulose. A doctor must assess whether it is appropriate for your concern.

Is Karisma the same as Sculptra or HA filler?

No. Their formulations and intended treatment goals differ. A shared reference to collagen or hydration does not make the products interchangeable.

Can Karisma remove acne scars?

Do not expect scar removal. Scar type and depth need assessment, and another or combined approach may be more appropriate. Early study findings do not guarantee an individual scar result.

How many Karisma sessions will I need?

There is no single plan for everyone. Ask the clinician to confirm the exact product, treatment area, proposed amount, intervals and review point using the applicable product information.

How much does Karisma cost at MICHIKO?

Request an individual written quote from MICHIKO before treatment. It should explain the proposed product, quantity, sessions and what follow-up is included.

Where can I discuss Karisma in Bangkok?

Contact MICHIKO on LINE and choose Phahonyothin 21 or EmSphere, EM TOWER Floor 7. Mention Karisma and confirm the clinician, product availability and appointment before travelling.
